Halloween pumpkin contest in bloor west village draws a wonderful little crowd of costume kids from the neighbourhood.
They have been doing this conetest for years and everyone must vote for their favorite pumpkin before getting a treat.
The skull on top was a favorite!
Also the black raven was a favorite.

About Esak
Esak Garcia practices and teaches Bikram Yoga and is dedicated to being a contribution to the world as a member of the Institute of Ancient Mysteries (IAM). Esak travels widely demonstrating the art of yoga, promoting yoga asana championships, and as a member of the IAM class of 2009.
Of mixed background, his mother is Jewish and father Mexican, Esak was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. He has also lived in New Haven, Conecticut, in São José Dos Campos and Salvador, Brazil, in California's Bay area, and as a small child, in Acapulco, Mexico.
Esak graduated valedictorian from Boulder High School, then studied Political Science and philosophy at Yale University. He studied the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira for over 10 years and has continuously priaciced Bikram yoga since 1994. He graduated from Bikram's Yoga College of India in 2001.
Esak became interested in Bikram yoga as a high school athlete, at the age of 17. He used yoga to condition himself to play baseball and American football. 11 years later, in February 2005, Esak won the groundbreaking International Yoga Asana Championship, The Bishnu Charan Ghosh Cup. Since then, Esak has led yoga demonstrations and discussions world-wide. He has been invited as a guest teacher and demonstrator to various cities in India, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, China, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, United States and Canada.
Recently Esak has begun to help other yogis who are interested in the Ghosh Cup Competition by leading coaching clinics. These clinics are held three times a year, and always fill to capacity. He is also one of the very few teachers who is authorized to lead official Bikram yoga seminars and posture clinics
Esak is maried to Chau Kei Ngai, who was the 5th place International Ghosh Cup Champion in 2007 representing China. They live in Boulder, Colorado with their son Osiris and Esak's younger brother Julian.

I was lucky enough to see one of the greatest architectural masterpieces ever built - not to mention, enjoy the intoxicating experience of dining at the world's only seven star restaurant (I don't know if this is still the only one or not, currently) - with Birdseye panoramic views of the infamous Dubai region, including the "Palms," and "The World," three man-made island projects, large enough to sustain entire communities - all shaped as their respective names imply... A fascinating city, to be sure!
This photo was taken in the summer of 2007, and is part of a large mural that resides in the lobby of this incredible hotel/restaurant. Highly edited via my iPhone, but the general style of the mural is retained.
It's Time For A Haircut

Day 51 of 365
I think it is time for a haircut. It is getting a bit wild around the ears in back. I put most of it in a ponytail, but there is some that isn't quite long enough. Usually it isn't much of a problem, but it eventually reaches a point where it isn't short enough to stay out of the way, yet isn't long enough to fit in the ponytail.
Why A Favorite?
This photo edit just came together perfectly. It is exactly what I wanted when I sat down and thought about it. It still makes me giggle.
I've thought about growning that part out, but the transition period is annoying. I don't like the smell nor the feel of hair spray in my hair. I could use hair mousse but I've never liked the way it makes my hair look.
I guess I'll just break down and go get a haircut, because I don't think I could deal with the mousse look for as long as it would take.
I did eventually get my haircut on Day 78

Me and Stu in a photo booth, probably in Woolworths in downtown Providence which hasn't existed in years. I think this might be 1986. I would be 18 and Stu 21. People used to ask us if we were brother and sister and looking at this photo I can see why. We aren't.
