ABOUT ROAMING DRAGON
www.RoamingDragon.com

Roaming Dragon came to life as two lifelong friends identified a major void in Vancouver’s food scene…the absence of restaurant quality food being served via Food Trucks!

Since launching in June 2010, Roaming Dragon has earned praise for our menus, our involvement as leaders in the food truck revolution, and for elevating the food truck experience across Canada.

Roaming Dragon can be seen on the streets of Vancouver, catering the city’s most exciting events, at a Farmers Market, or participating in charity events.

We specialize in authentically unauthentic Pan-Asian deliciousness. We offer unique interpretations of dishes and flavours familiar throughout Southeast Asia.

Street Food. Catering. Events.

As crazy as it may sound, the Dragon is so much more than a truck that serves food…the Dragon has a spirit and energy of its own!

From the aesthetics of the Dragon to the delicious smells, the music to the welcoming lanterns, the amazing food to our incredible staff…the Dragon has heart and soul.

The combination of food, music, smells, and smiles from our team make the journey to the Dragon special. We’re PROUD of our team, PROUD of our food, PROUD of our suppliers, and most of all PROUD to serve our customers.

We fundamentally believe that you DESERVE the finest ingredients, prepared with care and respect, and presented in unique and delicious ways.

We’re PROUD to know where our food comes from, that it was raised ETHICALLY and NATURALLY. Our team takes PRIDE in bringing you the most INNOVATIVE Pan-Asian cuisine you’ll ever come across!

Beautiful teenager, Tessa. I took this portrait of her and then used PhotoFunia to make an edit of her face on a lighted billboard in Times Square, New York City. She was very pleased with the outcome. What a lovely, sweet young lady. I was very impressed with her... and had hoped to do a photo shoot with her. Alas, that has not happened as yet.

This one is fun because you can make fake ghost sign by using it for texture in your image and also setting it as a layer beneath your image then erase the edges to expose it. Make it pop more by applying a gradient. Changing the light direction and amount of relief will give you a variety of looks.

My latest Acquisition - it was a bit of a gamble this one as it wasn't cheap (£40 + P&P) but I was pretty sure it wouldn't need much to get it working and they are quite desirable cameras. basically It had a 'locked out' wind-on (reached no.1) and the shutter trigger mechanism was binding/preventing it from resetting after a shot - All working now!

This coupled rangefinder camera has the Schneider Xenon C lens fitted, though examples for the European marketplace were available with Rodenstock Heligon C lenses. A point to note with these cameras, the lens serial number is engraved on the lens mount as well as on the lens, they should both match. The front element of the lens is interchangeable with 35mm or 80mm components, these needing the use of the auxiliary viewfinder which fits in the accessory shoe. Unfortunately the rangefinder only couples accurately with the 50mm lens, requiring a degree of cross-referencing of distance scales when the auxiliary lenses are used.

name: Kodak Retina IIc (020)
produced between: 1954 - 1957
lens: f/2.8 50mm various
shutter: Synchro-Compur
film type: 135
picture size: 24 x 36 mm
quantity made: 136,000

FMA 2008 promo trailer

This Charity Benefitting Concert Gala is the premier red carpet event of Western Canada. Not just a fashion show, not just a concert, FMA Vancouver is a fusion of catwalk and concert set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most beautiful and trend setting cities.

Canadian comedian and actress Ellie Harvie and ET Canada’s Erin Cebula are hosting this year’s FMA Vancouver. The media duo will present 'Sky 360', the airy incarnation of fashion runway, live music and art performance held on September 27, 2008 at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts. Sky 360 re-lives the old world glamour of travel as each segment celebrates the excitement of jet-setting and far away destinations along with an eco-green theme.

The whole venue at The Centre will be transformed into an exhilarating airport scene with staff in ’60s and ’70s-inspired airline uniforms designed by Jolie Chan of Jolie Couture.

Terminal 1 – Trans Canada - an exclusively Canadian roster of designers, musicians and artists.

Terminal 2 – Mile High - a provocative selection of lingerie and bathing suits.

Terminal 3 – Eco Green - featuring designers who are taking eco-couture to the next level.

Terminal 4 – Elite Star - first class finale of high profile designers.

International designers include Betsey Johnson, Wolford and Calvin Klein, while national stars join their ranks such as TV’s 'Making it Big' winner Jason Matlo, Bikini-designer extraordinaire, Anna Kosturova, Canada’s Project Runway designer judge Shawn Hewson's 'Bustle', winner Evan Biddell, and runner-up Carlie Wong. Further locally-based stars include Nicole Bridger, Elroy Apparel, Evan & Dean, Odd Molly, Jacqueline Conoir and Mellinda Mae Harlingten. Also featuring top graduates from Kwantlen University College and Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design.

This year’s beneficiary is the Canadian Make Poverty History as part of Bono and Bob Geldof's international campaign to eradicate global poverty, and The WordLoveWorldLove Project that connects Canadian children with children in developing countries who have been impacted by crisis.

Day 1 of testing Eee box pc. USB headset functioning. I've been using the ASUS Eee desktop setup for some time now and it is great.

Related blog post here...
michaeldorausch.com/asus-eee-box-pc-desktop-setup-testing/

Since the time this photograph was taken, I have changed out the hard drive and installed a solid-state drive. I've also taken out the stock memory sticks and added the max amount of RAM. Finally, I switched over the operating system to Windows 7 from Windows XP.

The Eee Box runs Windows 7 very well with the changes I've made. I don't use it for heavy data crunching work (like editing images or videos), but for document reading, surfing online, and general office use, it's been a terrific PC.

New York is a great place for walkin-around photography. I always suggest using a wide-angle lens to shoot buildings and architecture. Now, many people complain that it can distort lines and change the angles. This does not really bother me so much, because I think many people can take this wide-angle view in their mind and then re-calibrate everything to make sense. For example, that black building is obviously a square building with right angles, even though the top of it seems to have a 110 degree corner. Honestly, I don't think 95% of viewers even think about it. They just see the photo and it "feels good" to them. I often have professional photographers come comment on my wide-angle architecture shots when the walls are not 90 degrees perpendicular to other objects. My response is, I'm sure to them, quite childish, since I usually say, "Who cares?"

Besides, using a wide-angle lens is usually the only way to get the whole scene inside of a rectangle, which, itself, is an arbitrary viewing shape.

Operation Gratitude: Task Force 38 raids Japanese shipping in the South China Sea
USS ASTORIA crewmen watch as LT Charles Tanner launches from ASTORIA's starboard catapult on 21 January 1945. His plane (OS2N Kingfisher) would not return to the ship. In the background, USS HANCOCK has not yet been damaged by an exploding bomb.

"The day had been eventful; both productive and costly. 1164 sorties were flown from the fast carriers, resulting in 104 enemy aircraft destroyed on the ground, more than 30 in the air, and ten Japanese merchant ships sunk. But the Japanese Special Attack Corps had managed to place a hefty price tag on these successes. A fleet carrier had been knocked out of action and 205 men were listed killed or missing in action aboard the four damaged ships. An additional 351 men were wounded. Jim Thomson wrote: Watch and watch again. That night the Japanese try to come back with our returning patrol. One is shot down in flames off our starboard beam by anti-aircraft fire & one flies over the Asty and we don't open up. It drops a bomb on a can but misses.Tanner not back yet. Rumors that he is lost.
