The Michigan Municipal League has its annual Convention in a different community each year. This year's Convention, from Oct. 4-7, 2011, was in Grand Rapids during the final exciting days of ArtPrize. The main sponsor for the reception was Clark Hill and this year's reception was hosted by the cities of the Urban Metro Mayors and Managers - the cities of Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Kentwood, Walker, Grandville and East Grand Rapids. Hundreds of people attended the event and enjoyed looked out over Grand Rapids as a beautiful sunset took place. This is one of many images from the event. For more about the Michigan Municipal League and what we do go to mml.org. For more about Convention go to www.tour.mml.org and follow the League and the Convention on Twitter at @mmleague and the hashtag #mmltour.

All effects from picnik.

Picnik, the ultimate photo editing site that is adored all over this globe is shutting down on April 19th. Unless we do something about it. Please, whether you've ever used it or not, or whether you're an avid photographer, or just stumbled onto this petition... PLEASE take the time to sign it. We WILL stop Picnik from shutting down.

Let's get #savingpicnik trending on Twitter!

Like "Saving Picnik" on Facebook: www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Saving-Picnik/281715701881836

That's why I signed a petition to Jonathan Sposato, CEO of Picnik.com, which says:

"Don't shut down Picnik! It's the best photo editing site out there, especially for amateurs, and many will be lost without it! Picnik corporates, PLEASE don't shut down!"

Will you sign this petition? Go here:

Thanks!

Taken at the roof of a 4-story building of the Nagoya University, Japan.
