Yellow flowering Tabebuia trees
Common names: - Ipê-amarelo, Guayacán, Ypê amarelo, Golden trumpet tree, Табебуйя золотистая, Арагуаней
Most species renamed to Handroanthus gerus name.
Family: Bignoniaceae

Tabebuia chrysantha (Ipê-amarelo, Golden trumpet tree); new name Handroanthus chrysanthus
Tabebuia donnell-smithii (Ipê amarelo mexicano) ; new nameRoseodendron donnell-smithii
Tabebuia guayacan (Guayacán); new name Handroanthus guayacan
Tabebuia aurea (Caraíba, Paraguayan trumpet-tree)
Tabebuia ochracea (Ipê do Cerrado); new name Handroanthus ochraceus
Tabebuia serratifolia (Ipê-amarelo); new name Handroanthus serratifolius
Tabebuia umbellata (Yellow Trumpet); new name Handroanthus umbellatus
Tabebuia vellosoi (Ypê amarelo); new name Handroanthus vellosoi

Yes, I know... They look similar and difficult to ID.
They are all native to South America, some to Mexico and Caribbean. All spectacular trees.

These were taken in the mid-1930s in Phoenix, Arizona, when my grandma was in her early 20s. The backdrop is a painted scene of palm trees and saguaros.

My Grandmother's name was Mayna Gilmer and she died in November of 2007.
