Corn and Soy-Beans Are the Staple Crops. One Family Farms Still Are Common Although Many Are Operated by Two Or Three Generations of People. New Ulm Was Founded in 1854 by a German Immigrant Land Company That Encouraged Its Kinsmen to Emigrate From Europe.
