After leaving Andre, Marc has pursued a musical career in Conducting having achieved the Quarterfinals in International Competition for Conductors in 2008.

In Marc's own words, here is his Biography

I am on August 7, 1972 born in Heerlen and now live with my wife Judith Munstergeleen. My musical career began at age 6 in the drum band of the Royal Fanfare St. Caecilia Puth was 9 years and when I got my first trumpet lessons from Harrie Kusters and later on the music of Jan van Hulten of Geleen. This instrument I played until I decided on my 19th horn to play. After the first HACO (HAVO + Conservatory preparatory class) have followed the Jeanne D'arc Maastricht college, I continued my music studies at the Conservatory of Maastricht. Here I studied with Erich Penzel Horn, Will Sanders, and Willy Bessems Crutz Hub. Also in that period followed the training HaFaBra by Sef Pijpers and conductor Pierre Kuipers.

I was in my second year at the conservatory when I woke up one Monday morning at 8:00 call from André Rieu. I must confess that I (it was in September 1994) was never heard from him!
He asked me whether I felt like a time to come and play because he wanted a horn for his orchestra. The same had to occur Monday morning otherwise he had no time. I was like, I certainly would, because I only played 2 years horn and wanted as many games. So I quickly dressed and taken the train to Maastricht. In Rieu arrived home, I had not had time to be nervous because everything went so fast, I was asked to play something.

I did the 4th horn concerto by Mozart and played with a number of solo passages Rieu from his program played. I could immediately start the next day and finally I have been in 10 years trumpeter Johann Strauss Orchestra and I have many famous concert halls around the world must act. So I played ao in the following rooms and / or cities: The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Musikverein in Vienna, Radio City Music Hall in New York, Boston Symphonic Hall in Boston, JFK Center in Washington, Tokyo, Osaka , Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Munich, Berlin, Los Angeles, Miami, Rome, Zurich, Vancouver, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Mexico, Chicago, Toronto. Too many to mention really ...............
I have also included 10 stables CDs and hundreds of television pictures made. All in all a great time to look back on, IIK was never there!
If remplaçant I also played with include the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Marine Band of the Royal Navy, the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, The Dutch Opera, Il Novecento (band of the Night of the Proms), the Fanfare of the Royal Army Corps' Mounted Arms and many HaFaBra orchestras at home and abroad.
Conducting Rieu I had during my time on the back burner due to time constraints, but since I stopped when I joined Alex Schillings Rieu HaFaBra management study at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. This follow up to my previous conservatory in Maastricht.

On June 28, 2008 I graduated Cum Laude for my Bachelor of Music degree HaFaBra Management (now more on my thesis). The practical part of my exam I did in the theater Asta Beek along the creek with the Brass Band Limburg as euphonium soloist Renato Meli.
With this result I was admitted to the training HaFaBra Executive Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. This study I follow now with Alex Schillings.

In the summer of 2009 I took part in the International Competition of the conductors WMC Here I achieved the quarterfinals.

Besides my shelf treatments also conducted at various places the small buyer training. As a freelance horn player, I have also played regularly active and Alto horn (alto) in the creek Brass Band Limburg. Here I was also a board member until 2009 alongside musician and band manager. As a music specialist teachers I worked at the St. Maartens Maastricht, primary and Puth Petrus Canisius in the SBO to Geleen.
